The Kingdom of Eswatini has registered the first case of COVID 19, a condition caused by Corona Virus on Friday, March 13.
This was revealed by the Minister of Health in Eswatini, Lizzie Nkosi through a press statement.
A thirty-three year old woman is reported to have returned from the United States of America and entered the country on March 7 according to the press statement.
The woman has been confirmed positive by a South African laboratory after the woman seeked a health practioner medical attention on March 11 as per the press statement.
Minister Nkosi says the woman is under isolation and monitoring. The minister also reported 12 suspected cases of COVID 19 which are still waiting to be tested in the South African Laboratory.
WOMAN IN STABLE CONDITION
The Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi yesterday confirmed that the 33 year old woman who tested positive for COVID 19 is in a stable condtion as per reports of local mainstearm media.
Speaking in a press briefing convened by the Prime Minister Ambrose Dlamini yersteday, the Minister said the COVID 19 patient is kept at Lubombo Refferral Hospital.
According to the local newspapers, the minister also said a COVID 19 Laboratory in the country will be constructed in the Lubombo District.
SEVEN NEW SUSPECTED COVID 19 CASES
The twelve Eswatini suspected cases of COVID 19 has been cleared in the South African Llaboratory.

Nkosi says there are still however seven other new suspected cases which are still waiting to be tested in the South Africa’s laboratory.
